Caring For Echeveria Runyonii
1) Light: The Topsy Turvy plant loves full sun and needs bright light to maintain its rosette form and color. However, it also tolerates partial shade. In southern regions, it’s best to place the plant in light shade
2) Water: Runyonii has low water needs but must be adequately watered during the summer and spring season. It is water sensitive, which is why it is recommended to utilize the ‘soak and dry’ technique
3) Soil: This plant requires a gritty, quick-draining soil since it grows in tiny crevices in rocky outcropping. When planting use a pot with drainage holes
4) Temperature: The ideal temperatures for this plant are 65° – 70° degrees Fahrenheit (18° – 21° C)
5) Fertilizer: Fertilizer is not a continual requirement for Echeveria. Succulents grow natively in soil without a lot of nutrients. So, they are especially susceptible to fertilizer burn. However, they can benefit from the occasional extra boost. Use a slow-release fertilizer at the beginning of spring, or a liquid fertilizer diluted 2-4 times more than normal and used less often than recommended. Use a low nitrogen mix or a cactus fertilizer
